Access to education is one of the most important things, and I acknowledge that the lack of diversity within our community is also due to the costs that higher education carries.
Being able to study for so many years, traveling around the world to attend masterclasses and concerts, experiencing your own music live, working with world-class musicians, and encountering other young composers is a privilege, and it has a cost that not everyone can afford.
From today, I would like to start to dedicate up to 12 hours per month to offer online composition lessons to people who might not otherwise have the opportunity. I will offer these lessons free of charge and they are open to any low-income individuals or members of marginalized communities. Priority will be given to non-cis-male and non-white composers.
If interested, you can fill this form. My intention is to offer these lessons to as many people as possible, but depending on the number of requests, it might take some time before I get through the whole list.
As said, these lessons are specifically for low-income individuals or members of marginalized communities. If you would like to study with me but don’t identify with these criteria, you can always send me an email, but please do not use this form.
